Energy And Solar Products is an independent UK publication. We write buyer's guides for power stations, solar chargers, home energy monitors and solar garden lighting. Because these categories are full of confident marketing, buyers deserve more than a reworded spec sheet.

We are not a shop and we are not an installer. We name no reviewer, because no single person stands behind a verdict here. Instead, every guide lists the sources behind its figures.

We choose products from published specifications. We read manufacturers' UK product pages and regulators such as Ofgem and the Civil Aviation Authority. For example, IEC 60529 defines IP ratings. We do not test products, and we give no star ratings. The full method is on our how we choose page.

Our roundups rank picks by role, such as best all-rounder or best for camping. A role is easier to defend than a score, because it ties a pick to a published figure. Where we cannot source a figure, we leave it out.

We don't use affiliate or sponsored links and we don't run ads, so we earn nothing from the products we mention. We choose our picks from published specifications, not payments, because no brand can buy a place in a roundup.

If that ever changes, we will say so plainly on the pages concerned. Until then, there is nothing to disclose beyond this.
